Basil, a popular herb in Italian dishes, pasta sauces, meats and salads. Heavily scented leaves can be used fresh, dried or quick freeze. Pinch to promote bushier plants. Pinch flower stocks. Harvest if temperatures are expected to dip below 40 degrees in the fall. Heat tolerant.
