Clusters of distinctive, deep scarlet red, tubular, arching flowers on top of dark green bracts bloom on dark stems with dark green foliage.
Beebalm is a traditional favourite for the perennial border. This more compact selection produces heads of large, shaggy dark-red flowers in mid to late summer. Foliage is delightfully fragrant, and significantly more resistant to powdery mildew than most older varieties. Excellent for cutting. The shorter stature makes this an excellent choice for the middle of a sunny perennial border. USPP#14235, CPBR#2401: unlicensed propagation prohibited.
