Common name - Plantain Lily. Large, an improved H.Frances Williams with better color and less prone to burning, large rounded leaves with powder blue centers and wide irregular gold margins, heavily corrugated with thick substance, white flowers, 28'Htx60"W.
Very popular and undemanding perennial. Grown mostly for its decorative foliage, plants remain attractive from spring till frost. Most flower mid-July to early August. Hosta prefer partial shade, although a few will tolerate sun with adequate moisture. Use as a ground cover, for edging, or as an accent plant in the shady border. Attracts hummingbirds.
