Hyssop is a shrubby, partially evergreen herb of medium height, which can be grown in any soil type. It is pleasantly aromatic and attracts butterflies and bees. Its taste is slightly bitter and minty. Use sparingly in salads and soups. Hyssop aids the digestion of fatty foods, and when made into a tea, will help many bronchial disorders. Keep well watered. Established plants are somewhat drought tolerant. Plants will self seed in the garden.
