A Fleuroselect Gold Medal winner, sturdy upright stems of elegant skirted flowers, attractive green to bronze foliage, blooms earlier then the species. Bloom time is extended when flowers are deadheaded. Great choice for moist sites and partial sun. Grows well at water's edge or in bog gardens. Winner of the 1995 Fleuroselect Gold Medal. Blooms July to September. Excellent perennial for late summer bloom. Plants require moist soil and prefer partial afternoon shade. Hummingbirds love these plants. Deer and rabbit resistant.
